My research interest is to study crop-specific traits through integrative approaches. Currently, I’m working on a collaborative project, evolutionary origins of tubers. The objective of this project is to expand the knowledge of how tubers evolved, and the mechanisms involved in tuber development across diverse angiosperm lineages. My role in this project is to analyze genomic and transcriptomic data, and design/execute experiments on functional validation of genes. When I’m not in the lab, I enjoy cooking, hiking, and trying new things.
