Joshua Wood

I joined the Buell lab as an Undergraduate in 2014 as a Freshman, and after graduating I joined the lab full-time as a Research Assistant. I love being challenged by the ever evolving field of genome biology, and being in the lab has fed my desire to learn and curiosity from day 1! I've been involved in a large array of projects, from Potato, to Maize, to Mints, helping study climate change, gene expression, and evolution. This wide range of projects has allowed me to do both wet lab work, such as nucleic acid isolation, library preparation and sequencing, to basic bioinformatics work. Outside of work I enjoy cooking, writing, reading, gaming and enjoying craft beer- oh and relaxing with my cat! (Check him out on the pet page!)
